for Destination Marketing
Social Location Mobile Solutions Adapt Travel Websites for Mobile Devices and Social Media
Glogou Inc, a Silicon Valley technology marketing company that specializes in digital marketing, today announced the availability of Social Location Mobile (SoLoMo) solution suite for destination marketing. The solutions provide easy migration tools for existing websites to become social network enabled, location aware, and mobile friendly.
In a recently conducted survey, Glogou discovered that nearly 84% of websites operated by Convention and Visitor Bureaus (CVB) are not location aware, 67% are not mobile friendly, and 89% of them are not fully integrated with social media. Many improvements can be employed to make those websites more effective marketing tools and better sources of tourist information. It is essential that websites that are targeted to tourists be mobile friendly, location aware, and integrated with popular social networking sites. This becomes increasingly important as more people turn to mobile devices to access information, particularly when they are traveling. Additionally they prefer localized information and the opportunity to get the opinions of peers or share their travel experience via social media.
To meet this growing need, Glogou developed its SoLoMo (Social Location Mobile) solutions, a suite of software tools and professional services for destination marketing. The software tools will determine what percentage of the existing website is not mobile friendly, analyze the statistics of the website’s social presence and activities, and provide an estimation of how much a website’s web traffic will increase if it becomes location aware. After “SoLoMo-izing” a website, user experience and web traffic are guaranteed to improve. Glogou provides consulting and software development services to “SoLoMo-ize” a website and also offers services to convert a website into a mobile app and a Facebook app.
